These days, more and more people are leaning towards being an entrepreneur rather than working in a typical schedule. Millennials today are more carefree, always changing, more driven and craves for more interaction with different people. Women especially, are now harder to please. Most female entrepreneurs know an opportunity when they see one, so be more understanding when she cancels on you. A female entrepreneur recognizes only one boss: herself. She will never be able to get rid of that attitude, but you can both compromise. Dating a female entrepreneur can be quite challenging— she operates in a fast-paced environment and expects you to keep up with her.
Dating an entrepreneur: the inside track with EliteSingles
By any measure, Kate Balestrieri is a catch. There has arguably been no better moment in history to be a single woman: We have more power, autonomy, and choices than ever before. While there is still plenty of room for improvement, the future is looking bright. Marriage rates have hit historic lows , dating apps are apparently making users depressed , and men appear to be in a full-blown masculinity crisis. Add that to the fact that hookup culture has changed the landscape of our romantic lives, and modern relationships are—in the parlance of our Digital Age—complicated.
One issue that Balestrieri has experienced both firsthand and in her professional experience is that some men are coping badly with the fact that women are now their equals in the workplace—and that frustration is manifest on the dating scene.

Jenna Birch’s new book, ” The Love Gap ,” highlights another, broader implication of the difference between attitudes and behavior. The “gap” in the title refers to the distance between what straight men say they want in a woman and the type of women they pursue.
Specifically, men say they want women who are smart, driven, ambitious, and accomplished — but when they actually date these women, they hesitate to start a relationship with them. Through research and interviews, Birch deduces that some men may be made uneasy by such a woman’s success, especially if they haven’t yet achieved that level of success in their own careers. Birch is quick to point out that her findings don’t apply to all men or all women, for that matter — but it’s a general trend she’s observed.
For example, one study published in the journal Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin found that men rated women who were supposedly more intelligent as more desirable — except when they met the women face-to-face. Then they rated the women as less desirable, and even put some physical distance between them and the women. This phenomenon is seen outside the lab, too, with men distancing themselves emotionally from “EGs,” Birch’s term for “End Goal” women, or the women men see themselves with someday.

This week Forbes published an exclusive investigation on Andrey Andreev and the work culture at dating company Badoo. If you are based in the US, you might not be as familiar with Badoo as you are with Tinder, but Badoo is a very popular dating app in Europe and Latin-America. The investigation uncovered a culture of racism and sexism that former Badoo employees claim was coming from the top down despite founder Andrey Andreev denying any knowledge of wild parties and general inappropriate behavior, to put it mildly.
Of course, this is not the first time we hear about wild behavior at a tech company, so in a way, this is not really news. So, if we heard it all before, why am I covering this? The article initially sparked my interest promptly moved me to a sense of aversion when I read that Andrey Andreev is behind Bumble the dating up that focuses on putting women first in dating.
I had always linked Bumble to Whitney Wolfe Herd, the former Tinder co-founder who left the company after a sexual harassment case that was settled privately but that still ended in her losing her co-founder title. It turns out Andreev was actually the one who approached Wolfe Herd with the idea for Bumble. He also put up the capital for the company, and he is still the majority owner. According to the article, he is far from being a silent partner, maintaining control of most operations in London despite Bumble being headquartered in Austin and keeping Wolfe Herd just a phone call away.
Wolfe Herd might not have known the true colors of Andreev when she was first approached. How can you advocate being about women empowerment when it comes to dating but decide to turn a blind eye to business practices that are, at the very least, condoned by your majority investor?

This even happens to women who are high achieving and successful in their careers.
